Disable McAfee

The following steps are only for McAfee Security Center 7.2:

VirusScan:

1. In McAfee Security Center, click on 'Computers and Files' and then click on 'Configure' on the right pane.

2. Click to expand 'Virus protection is enabled'

3. Click on the check box beside 'Off' and click OK.

Firewall:

1. In McAfee Security Center, click on "Internet and Network"and then click on 'Configure' on the right pane.

2. Click to expand 'Firewall protection is enabled'

3. Click on the check box beside 'Off' and click OK.

SpamKiller:

1. In McAfee Security Center, click on "E-mail and IM"and then click on 'Configure' on the right pane.

2. Click to expand 'Spam protection is enabled'

3. Click on the check box beside 'Off' and click OK.

4. Repeat the above steps for 'E-mail protection is enabled'

Privacy Service/Parental Control:

1. Click Start- Run

2. Type services.msc

3. Press Enter key

4. Search for the McAfee Privacy Service.

5. Right click on it and select Properties.

6. Beside 'Startup type': Select 'Disabled' and below 'Service status': click on 'Stop'.

7. Click Apply and then click OK.

NOTE: 1. You can perform the above steps for other McAfee services also.

2. We cannot disable McAfee Real - Time scanning option.
