We need to follow the steps provided in the following weblink to prevent virus/spyware infection. There will be a possible malware damage if we do not follow any one of the suggestions provided in the weblink.

NOTE: During Christmas, emails were sent by everyone and it is possible that any one of these emails may have the virus infected file. By opening the file/attachment, the computer was infected with virus, which is redirecting to third party websites when you try to update/download McAfee products and in some cases even blocking access to McAfee download websites.

McAfee will warn you if it will suspect the attachment, however if you go ahead and open the attachment/photos, McAfee cannot prevent the infected file from getting installed, as it will consider the malware to be trusted because it was opened by the user after warning.

I apologize for all the inconvenience and appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
