Disable a Program in Vista / Disable Windows defender:
1. Click Start -> Control Panel
2. In the left pane of the Control Panel, click on " Control Panel Home "
3. Under "Programs", click on "Change Startup Programs".
4. Select "Windows Defender" and click on "Disable"
5. Accept any security warnings and close the Window.
