Disk Cleanup in Windows XP:

1. Click Start- Run

2. Type cleanmgr

3. Click OK

4. Select C: drive and click OK.

5. Select all check boxes except " Setup Log Files " and " Compressed Old Files "

6. Click OK.

7. On the next pop up box, click " Yes "

Expiry Messages:

Please perform the following steps to check System Date and Time Properties:

1. Double-click on the Time in the bottom, right side of the desktop screen.

2. Verify the date and time are correct.

3. If they are incorrect, change them to the correct settings.

4. Attempt to log into your account again.

After this, perform the following steps to verify you are logged in correctly

1. Go to http://us.mcafee.com

2. Click Log Off (if already logged in)

3. Click Log In

4. If an email address automatically appears in the 'Email Address' field, delete it.

5. Enter your registered email address and password

6. Click Log In

7. Once logged in, click the blue button in the 'Update/Download' column to update or install your service.

After the above process has been done, please follow the steps below to manually update the software and trigger the automatic updating process:

1. Right click the M icon on your desktop

2. Click Updates

3. Click Check Now

4. This will enable you to retrieve the updates for your software

1) Ask version of spamkiller, if upgraded it will give this error

2) Ask him to check incoming server name in Outlook Express

a) Open Outlook Express

b) Click on" Tools"

c) Click on "Account"

e) Select " POP 3"

f) Once POP3 is highlighted, click on "Properties ". This will open a new window.

g) In the new window, click on "Server"

h) Change the incoming mail server name to POP3 and outgoing mail server name to SMTP

Note: If you are not sure of the incoming mail server name and outgoing mail server name, please contact your Internet Service provider for the information

i) Fill in the account name and click on OK

This will change the incoming server settings to POP3.

Configure Thunderbird:

1. Open Thunderbird and select the Tools menu. Click the Account Settings tab

2. From the new window select the Add Account button, then E-mail account and click Next.

3. Enter your name as you would like it to appear in the From: field of all outgoing mail and the email address which the others will use to send email messages to you. Click Next.

4. Set the incoming server to be of type POP. Address is yourdomain.com (This is an example. You can get the exact address from your ISP)

5. Click Next and type in the username. Please use the full e-mail account name. Example: you@yourdomain.com

6. After clicking the Next button, please type in the name of the e-mail account as it will appear on your PC. Click Next, and then the Finish button.

7. Click the Outgoing Server(SMTP) in the left pane. Use yourdomain.com as Server name (This is an example. You can get the exact server name from your ISP) set the port to be 25.

Then, check Username and password and enter the full e-mail address as username. Select No in the Use secure connection section.

8. Click OK and check if the issue is resolved.

Configure Windows Mail:

1. Open Windows Mail, and from the Tools menu select Accounts.

2. Click the Add button.

3. Now, select Email Account and click Next.

4. Type in your Display Name: this is the name that your recipients will see in the "From" field of e-mails that you send. Click Next.

5. Enter your complete email address and click Next. Please make sure to replace "yourdomain.com" with your actual domain name.

6. Select POP3 as Incoming e-mail server type.

7. Enter your complete email address in the E-mail username text field and your email account password in the Password text field.

8. Click Next and then - Finish.

9. Now, select your e-mail account from the list on the left and click on Properties.

10. Next, select the Advanced tab. Set the Outgoing mail (SMTP) port to 465 and check the box next to This server requires a secure connection (SSL).

11. Click Apply.

12. Finally, click OK and then - Close.

Configure Outlook express:

1. In Outlook Express, go to the Tools menu. Click on Accounts.

2. A box will appear. Click Add and select Mail.

3. Enter your name as you want it to appear on your emails and click Next.

4. Put in your email address, which consists of a user you set up in webmail and @yourdomain.xyz, and then click Next.

5. Server type is POP3 and incoming and outgoing mail servers are mail.yourdomain.xyz (where yourdomain.xyz is your domain name and extension such as .com). Click on Next.

6. Next, enter your email address for the Account Name. Enter the password you set for this account. Note: Do NOT check the box "Log on using Secure Password Authentication".

7. Click Next and then click Finish. After you click Finish, you should see the following window. If not, go to the Tools menu, and click on Accounts. After clicking Accounts the window will appear. In this window, click on your domain until it is highlighted, then click on Properties.

8. When the next screen appears, click on the Servers tab. Under Outgoing Mail Server, check the box next to My server requires authentication. Click Okay. Note: You MUST do this step so you can send mail from your domain.

9. Now, you're ready to send and receive mail. To set up multiple accounts, follow these steps again.

Cannot connect to Internet:

1. Uninstall all McAfee programs through "Add/Remove Programs" in Windows "Control Panel", incl. Security Center.

2. Use the MCPR tool from the following link:

This will remove all Mcafee remnants from your computer. (you must have Windows XP SP2 or W2K Pro SP4 or Vista to use this tool)
